Description

1787 COPPER Connecticut Copper, Hercules Head Fine 12, Scratched, Corroded, Uncertified. M. 7-I, R.6. While the 1786 Hercules Head variety (M. 5.3) is common, the same cannot be said for 1787 Miller 7-I, which is both rare and in great demand as a Guide Book variety. The present State Copper has a full date and complete legends, although INDE is close to the rim. The left reverse field has a couple of short pinscratches, and both sides are deeply toned and lightly pitted. Listed on page 42 of the 2003 Guide Book.

Coin Index Numbers: (PCGS# 361, Greysheet# 162)
