Interesting Plain Edge Variety
1795 1C Plain Edge, S-76b, B-4b, R.1, AU50 PCGS. CAC.
Sheldon-76b is characterized by the placement of the 5 with its
flag overlapping the bust, the plain edge, and the high placement
of ONE CENT on the reverse. Lovely olive-brown patina embraces
minimally marked surfaces of this pleasing survivor. Much detail
remains on the design elements and light, even wear is seen over
the slightly granular surfaces. Our EAC grade VF35.Ex: Central States Signature (Heritage, 4-5/2010), lot 52.
