1851-D G$1 AU58 PCGS. Variety 3-E. Lemon-gold toning is prevalent aside from glimpses of lilac on the obverse field. Impressively devoid of abrasions, though the strike is incomplete on the hair above the ear. A minute speck of aqua residue is on the left serif of the mintmark. Struck from clashed dies. A rare Dahlonega issue. Population: 27 in 58, 20 finer (3/13).(Registry values: N1793)
