Description

Splendid 1859 Seated Dime PR67 Cameo

1859 10C PR67 Cameo NGC. There are basically only two years of the With Stars design format--long overlooked as a type coin--available to collectors in proof, 1858 and 1859. The fields are deep and display watery reflectivity of unfathomable depth. The devices show a moderate amount of mint frost, and when set against the depth of mirrored flash in the fields, give the coin a pleasing two-toned cameo effect. Essentially brilliant; there is only the slightest hint of peripheral crimson-rose color on this splendidly preserved proof dime. Census: 5 in 67 Cameo, 0 finer (2/07).(Registry values: N4719)
