One of the Finest Certified 1941 Doubled Die Cents, FS-018
1941 1C Doubled Die MS66 Red PCGS. DDO-1, FS-018. Examples of FS-018 and FS-018.1 are the most desirable Doubled Die 1941 Cents among specialists, but three other die marriages of this Mint error have been reported. A Condition Census Gem, this coin is bursting with orange-red luster. The assigned grade is accurate, all features being free of bothersome carbon flecks and handling marks. Pedigree concerns compel us to mention a well concealed swirl of deeper color on the reverse at the center of the E in ONE. Population: 10 in 66 Red, there is not a single example finer (10/02).Coin Index Numbers: (PCGS# 92695, Greysheet# 1972)
