1858 Small Letters Cent, None Finer
1858 1C Small Letters MS66 NGC. Low Leaves, Closed E in ONE.
This thoroughly lustrous and exactingly struck Premium Gem features
lovely rose-red, lime-green, and yellow-gold toning. An outstanding
example of this briefly produced type coin, one that seldom appears
at the Premium Gem level, the finest available grade that
collectors can hope to achieve for this in-demand issue. The
obverse legends are lightly strike doubled. Certified in a former
generation holder. Census: 15 in 66, none finer (11/12).Ex: Robert R. Rollins Collection, Part Two (Heritage, 6/2008), lot 88, which realized $10,350.(Registry values: N4719)
