1885 Morgan, PR67 Cameo
Few Graded Finer
1885 $1 PR67 Cameo NGC. Deep midnight-black, highly
reflective fields create stark cameo contrast on this piece against
the richly frosted devices, one of the nicest Cameo proof Morgans
we recall handling. Both sides are fully struck, even on the finest
details of the design. As expected at this level of preservation,
no bothersome hairlines or contact marks appear on either side, and
a fully brilliant, untoned appearance rounds out the long list of
positive attributes. Worthy of inclusion in a Superb Gem proof type
set. Certifications at NGC comprise six submissions in 67 Cameo (of
which one is 67 ★ Cameo), and three Cameos are numerically
finer (6/13).Ex: Denver Signature (Heritage, 8/2006), lot 5389.
