1961 Franklin Half, Lustrous and Toned
MS66 Full Bell Lines, Strike Rarity
1961 50C MS66 Full Bell Lines PCGS. Vivid olive-gold and
coppery-orange toning encompasses the reverse and much of the
obverse periphery, while mottled lavender-gray hues color the
remaining regions. The strike is bold, with notable definition seen
on Franklin's hair and, of course, the bell lines. The 1961
Philadelphia issue is a true rarity with Full Bell Lines at the
MS66 level. PCGS shows a mere 10 examples, while NGC has yet to
report a single Premium Gem so-graded. Population: 10 in 66 (1 in
