Low-Mintage Early Proof

1867 3CN Three Cent Nickel PR66 Cameo NGC. Among the lower-mintage, early proofs in this series, only 625 proofs are estimated to have been struck. This is a brilliant example with deeply mirrored fields and softly frosted devices. Mint-made die striations in the reverse field run slightly diagonal to the ribbing on the Roman numeral.(Registry values: N2998)
