Condition Rarity 1917-S Type One Quarter
1917-S 25C Type One MS67 PCGS. Delicate lilac patina coats the obverse, the reverse is mostly brilliant with the exception of an interesting orange-russet toning crescent near the left border. As befits the grade, the luster is full with a frosty texture, and the surfaces are silky-smooth throughout. An expertly impressed representative of this, the scarcest of the three 1917 Type One deliveries. NGC and PCGS combined have seen only three coins in MS67 Full Head, and there are none finer (5/01).Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 2433, PCGS# 5710, Greysheet# 5567)
