Description
Full Red Gem 1914-S Cent
1914-S MS 65 Red PCGS. The '14-S is very elusive in gem condition, being much scarcer than other, better known issues. With full red color it is even more challenging, and is actually significantly rarer than the much better known '14-D. The color on this piece is bright and blazes over each side undiminished by the brown that usually diminishes the color on both D and S-mints from this year. Unusually well defined also with the only area of weakness being on the upper left portion of the O in ONE. Population: 17 in 65, only 2 finer (4/98).Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 22BJ, PCGS# 2476, Greysheet# 1831)
Weight: 3.11 grams
Metal: 95% Copper, 5% Tin and Zinc
