Description

Superb 1885 Three Cent Nickel, MS 67

1885 MS 67 PCGS. Hints of delicate sky-blue and golden toning atop shimmering surfaces. Although a common date as a proof, just 1,000 business strikes were issued of the 1885 three cent nickel. Only a relatively small percentage of those, generally choice examples, survive today. This is one of only two MS 67s thus far graded by PCGS, NGC shows nothing higher than MS 66 (5/98).
