1860 $5 AU55 PCGS. An important low-mintage issue, the 1860 half eagle had a circulation-strike production of only 19,763 pieces, and survivors are elusive in all grades. This Choice AU example has a trace of rub on the high points, yet retains nearly full yellow-gold luster with slightly reflective fields.
