Description
1865-S Liberty Eagle, VF35
Elusive Low-Mintage Issue
1865-S $10 VF35 PCGS. Only 16,700 Liberty eagles were struck
at the San Francisco Mint in 1865,making the issue quite elusive in
all grades. This pleasing Choice VF specimen shows some light wear
on the hair above the coronet and the curl beneath the ear is worn
but well-defined. The lightly abraded surfaces retain traces of
original mint luster. Population: 3 in 35, 9 finer (7/15).(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 264G, PCGS# 8642, Greysheet# 9464)
