Description

1854 G$1 Type Two MS62 PCGS. One of the keys to a gold type set, the 1854-55 Type Two gold dollars mostly survive, when certified, in AU50 to AU55 grade ranges. This orange-gold example shows the typical bold clash marks on each side -- multiply clashed on the reverse, and rotated between -- and an interesting die crack runs from the lower-right (facing) outside wreath to the rim nearby. Beautiful luster prevails on this no-problem piece, which shows little evidence of post-Mint contact.(Registry values: N4719)
