PARTHIAN KINGDOM. Mithradates II (ca. 121-91 BC). AR drachm
(19mm, 4.18 gm, 11h). NGC MS 4/5 - 4/5. Rhagae or Ecbatana, ca.
96/5-93/2 BC. Diademed, draped bust of Mithradates II left, with
long pointed beard, loop earring, and torque ending in winged
hippocamp / BAΣIΛEΩΣ-BAΣ-IΛEΩN-MEΓAΛOY-APΣAKOY / EΠΙΦANOΣ, archer
(Arsaces I) enthroned right, in Parthian dress, with bow in
outstretched right hand. Sunrise 296-301. Stunning example with
gleaming flan.
