Description

One Of The Finest 1907 Arabic Numerals Double Eagles, MS67 PCGS

1907 $20 Arabic Numerals MS67 PCGS. When a high grade example of this issue is desired, the potential purchaser generally needs to search long and hard, waiting for such a coin to come along. The wait may be a long one, for our records indicate that the '07 Arabic has made only seven appearances in major auction sales over the past 25 years. The present example is in the finest ever certified by either PCGS or NGC. The surfaces project a frosty appearance with better than average luster. Variegated peach, orange, and greenish-gold coloration with subtle accents of rose and powder-blue covers each side. The design elements are exquisitely struck, with excellent definition apparent on the Capitol, on the leaves beneath the rock, and on the eagle's feathers. The pristine surfaces display no mentionable marks. This Superb Gem example is one of the finest for the connoisseur of Saint-Gaudens coinage. Population: 5 in 67, 0 finer (9/05).
