1907 Rolled Edge Eagle, AU Details
Elusive in All Grades
1907 $10 Rolled Edge -- Repaired -- NGC Details. AU Bright
brassy-gold surfaces have been harshly cleaned and are hairlined,
and the left obverse field appears to have been smoothed. The
reported mintage of a net of 42 or so pieces was the result of some
20,000 being coined, but then virtually all were melted as the coin
design was revised late in 1907.From the collection of Donald E. Bently, sold for the benefit of the Bently Foundation.
