Description
Five-Piece 1875-S Year Set
1875-S Year Set NGC Certified. A novel idea, each denomination struck in the San Francisco mint in 1875 is included:Dime MS 65. Frosted, lustrous surfaces are overlaid by rich mottled toning.
Twenty Cent Piece MS 65. A bit softly struck, as often seen, each side has strong gray coloration with a rose tinted undertone.
Quarter MS 64. Sharply struck in the centers, the bright, lustrous surfaces show a few streaks and specks of color but mostly the coin presents as brilliant.
Half MS 65. Essentially free of abrasions, the booming mint luster is overlaid by numerous streaks of darker patina on the obverse, and on the reverse by color that deepens around the periphery in a more traditional manner.
Trade Dollar MS 64. Not quite lustrous enough to make a full gem grade but free of any truly distracting abrasions. Pale color.
