1793 1/2P Washington Ship Halfpenny, Copper, Lettered Edge AU53 PCGS. Baker-18, R.3. This chocolate-brown representative is pleasantly unabraded, and also lacks consequential carbon. The reverse die was apparently improperly annealed, since all examples seen have a bulged appearance on the central reverse and a raised border near 4 o'clock.
