Description

Briefly Handled 1900 Proof Ten Dollar

1900 PR 58 PCGS. Of the 120 proofs originally struck, it has been estimated that today perhaps only a third or so are extant in all grades. This piece is immediately identifiable as a proof with its deeply reflective fields. Closer examination shows the date low and slanted to the right, a diagnostic of proofs. There are numerous small contact marks in the fields and signs of light handling, but none that bear mentioning or seem to be out of context for the grade.
