Description

1873 Open 3 PR 64 Brown PCGS. A possible restrike that Breen claims is ten times as rare as the Closed 3 variety. The reflective fields are only faintly visible through the smooth chocolate-brown patina. Localized striking weakness on the shield and leaves account for the grade. A pleasing survivor from an estimated mintage of 500 pieces.
