1662 Oak Tree Twopence, XF40
Noe-34, Large 2
1662 2PENCE Oak Tree Twopence XF40 NGC. Noe-34, W-240, Salmon
1-B, R.5. 11.1 gn. Large 2. The lengthy fine horizontal die
crack across the reverse through the date is a characteristic of
this scarce Noe variety. An appealing silver-gray and golden-brown
example that boasts smooth surfaces and a richly detailed tree. The
obverse is mildly misaligned toward 9:30 and the reverse is
moderate misaligned toward 5:30 but the legends are complete. The
strike is slightly soft on the right-side obverse and left-side
reverse borders. Listed on page 38 of the 2013 Guide Book.
