Description

Clean, Radiant MS66 1888-S Dollar

1888-S $1 MS66 NGC. The radiantly lustrous surfaces of this Premium Gem exhibit wisps of beige and ice-blue on portions of the central devices. Well struck for the most part, indeed above average for the issue about which David Bowers (2006) says: "While many if not most San Francisco Morgan dollars are sharply struck, the 1888-S is an exception." A few minor luster grazes do not distract. Census: 12 in 66, 1 finer (1/08).
