Description

Deeply Toned 1889-CC Dollar, AU55

1889-CC $1 AU55 NGC. Like the 1893-S, the 1889-CC is scarce in all grades and sought after by collectors from one end of the price and grade spectrum to the other. An AU55 coin gives the collector good value without paying the price of a technical Mint State coin. This piece shows considerable remaining luster around the devices, and the central details are strongly defined. This piece is deeply toned, and the only mark of note is a diagonal one on the highpoint of Liberty's cheek.(Registry values: P9, N2998)
