Description

1902 Indian Cent with Early Brockage Reverse

1902 1C Indian Cent--Brockage, Corroded--ANACS. VF Details, Net Fine 12. The reverse exhibits an early state brockage of the obverse design, reversed and incused but without the distortion found on later state brockages. The brockaged portrait is sharp, with the profile and every letter in LIBERTY crisp. The peripheral legends are softer in definition, although UNITED is mostly bold, as is the 1 and 2 in the date. Mauve color dominates the circulated and faintly granular obverse, the reverse features bright gold and lime-green colors.
