1955 1C Doubled Die Obverse AU55 PCGS. FS-101, formerly FS-021.8. Pleasing chestnut patina covers the surfaces of this immensely popular error. Known for its prominent doubling, this piece saw circulation for only a brief time and has since been well preserved. Only the tiniest flecks around the perimeter are visible under magnification on this otherwise lightly circulated piece. (Registry values: N991)Coin Index Numbers: (PCGS# 2825, Greysheet# 2165)
