1851 1C MS66 Red and Brown NGC. Ex: Pittman. N-12, R.1. A match for lot 262 in Part One of the Pittman Collection, where it was described as "Dull red and brown, a few pinpoint spots. Impression of a fingerprint behind the head." This cataloger respectfully disputes the "dull" description, noting the considerable satiny luster on each side.
