Pleasing VF30 O-110 Flowing Hair Half, Ex: Reiver
1795 50C 2 Leaves VF30 NGC. O-110, R.4. This variety is characterized by recutting on the 9 in the date, several raised lines that are visible between the curls and stars 2 and 3, and the 9-8 berry configuration with a leaf tip below the center of F. An early die state example without any obverse die cracks. Pleasing light gray patina bathes each side, and the design elements display relatively sharp detail and are well centered on the planchet. A few minute marks in the lower right obverse field do not distract.
