1795 50C 2 Leaves--Corroded, Cleaned--ANACS. VF Details. Net Fine 12. O-129, R.4. The popular variety with the second S in STATES cut over a D. The absent-minded engraver thought he was cutting UNITED before realizing the mistake. (The same blunder is also found on the BD-6 1795 half eagle). This cream-gray example is surprisingly free from marks, but is slightly cloudy and has a smattering of small dark spots on each side.(Registry values: N1793)
