1852-C $5 MS61 NGC. Variety 19-H. The date is entered slightly southwest relative to the less scarce Variety 18-H. The base of the 1 is lightly repunched. This straw-gold half eagle has noticeable luster and moderately abraded fields. The strike is good for its Charlotte Mint origin.
