Scarce Select Uncirculated 1883 Hawaiian Half Dollar
1883 50C Hawaii Half Dollar MS63 NGC. Satiny and very lightly toned with bright mint luster. An interesting coin from the island of Hawaii, issued only in 1883 by King Kalakaua I and struck by the United States mint at San Francisco. From an original mintage of 700,000 pieces, only 87,755 remained unmelted making this a scarce issue, especially in Select and better grades.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 2C5B, PCGS# 10991, Greysheet# 11097)
