Lightly Toned and Unmarked
1835 25C B-2, R.2, MS62 PCGS. Tompkins Die State 3/2. A
charming pearl-gray Capped Bust type coin. The minutely granular
surfaces are lustrous and impressively free from contact. The
strike is intricate, and the eye appeal is exemplary for the MS62
level. The dies are clashed, usual for Browning-2. For all 1835 die
varieties, Population: 25 in 62, 47 finer (2/17).From The R. Thayer Sheets Yorktown Collection.
