Description

Spectacular MS68 1919 Cent

1919 1C MS68 Red PCGS. This earlier Philadelphia issue comes by its reputation as an easier date honestly. Q. David Bowers notes in his Guide Book of Lincoln Cents, "Common in all grades, through gem MS-65 RD and higher. Spots are not much of a problem. A nice gem will be an easy find, for a change. Hooray!"
To acquire an MS68 survivor, however, requires substantially more searching and patience. This gorgeous piece, pale copper-gold with blushes of peach and lavender on each side, is sharply struck and beautifully preserved. An amazing example that is worthy of the finest collection. Population: 14 in 68 Red, 1 finer (10/08).
