Description

1854 $5 AU53 PCGS. CAC. The CAC endorsement sets this piece apart from its peers. The protected portions of the fields yield remnants of original luster, while both sides overall have pleasing olive-gold patina. The 1854 half eagle is rarely seen in this or better grades with CAC approval, and this example is particularly appealing -- the ideal collector coin. CAC: 10 in 53, 46 finer (9/20).
