Description
NGC-Certified 1893 Proof Set, Cent Through Dollar
1893 Six-Piece Proof Set NGC. The set includes:Cent PR65 Red and Brown. Vividly toned in ruby-red and cobalt-blue patina. Well struck, and without relevant marks or carbon.
Nickel PR64 Cameo. An exquisitely struck white-on-black example identified by a thin planchet streak through the left side of the wreath, and a tiny dimple in the field near the chin.
Dime PR65 Cameo. This untoned and exactingly struck Gem is essentially perfect aside from a faint fingerprint on the upper right obverse field.
Quarter PR64 Cameo. Radiant icy devices contrast with dark, undisturbed, glassy fields. A needle-sharp and nearly brilliant specimen, one of only 792 proofs struck.
Half Dollar PR63 Cameo. Delicate chestnut toning drapes this otherwise untoned proof Barber half. Faint obverse hairlines decide the grade, but the reverse is well preserved, and the eye appeal is impressive.
Silver Dollar PR63 Cameo. Light honey toning visits this penetratingly struck and attractive proof Morgan dollar. The left obverse field displays some faint hairlines, but the remainder of the piece is pleasing, and the devices exhibit luminous frost.
