1796 1C Liberty Cap--Corroded--NCS. XF Details. S-81, B-2, R.3. A die scratch between the NI in UNITED confirms the variety. Somewhat granular on the obverse border between 6 and 9 o'clock, and the EN in CENT is softly impressed and has a few nearby marks. Otherwise, this steel-gray cent is impressive, and retains glimpses of luster within the hair, wreath, and legends.
