The Bareford 1853 C-1 Half Cent

1853 1/2 C C-1, B-1, R.1. Die State 2. MS66 Brown NGC. MS63 EAC. Large date; Small berries. The scarce late die state with weakened dentilation on both sides. Frosty and lustrous with medium olive-brown color and considerable original red mint color, especially on the reverse. This red and brown Mint State example is not from the hoardlet discovered in 1993.
