1793 1/2 C --Corroded--ANACS. Fine Details, Net VG 8. B-1, C-1, High R.3. The glossy, chocolate-brown surfaces are moderately pitted throughout. Much detail remains, and the overall appearance is not unattractive. From the first year of coinage in the half cent series, this issue is always in demand by collectors and specialists, and holds its place of importance in the annals of the U.S. mint as the first copper coinage struck by the federal government.
