Description

Important Select 1865 Liberty Twenty

1865 $20 MS63 PCGS. One of the few quality Mint State examples of this Civil War issue that did not come from the S.S. Republic shipwreck, which was dispersed in April 2005, after the present piece was certified. This is a gorgeous example of the issue with brilliant yellow-gold surfaces and satiny luster. The fields are almost prooflike with considerable reflectivity. A small scratch in the left obverse field is the only blemish of note. Population: 5 in 63, 0 finer (6/09).
