Gem Red 1911-S Lincoln Cent
1911-S 1C MS65 Red NGC. This certified Gem offers brick-red obverse coloration, with the reverse adding some deeper orange and purple patina. Both sides are relatively mark-free, but a couple of flecks of carbon appear on the reverse around UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. A tough S-mint issue, much more difficult in high grade than the 1910-S. Census: 26 in 65 Red, 4 finer (9/08).(Registry values: N1793)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 22B9, PCGS# 2449, Greysheet# 1813)
