Liberty Nickel with 10% Curved Clip AU55
1905 5C Liberty Nickel--10% Curved Clip--AU55 NGC. The obverse has a curved clip from 12:30 to 2 o'clock. The Blakesley effect is apparent, with considerable weakness on the obverse rim near 7:30, but only minor incompleteness on the rim above the ST in STATES. This satiny nickel has chestnut and dove-gray toning. A small but interesting spoon-shaped flaw is present on Liberty's cheek.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 277G, PCGS# 3866, Greysheet# 2970)
