Reverse of 1879, Short Leaf
1878 7TF $1 Reverse of 1879, Short Leaf, VAM-203, MS65 PCGS.
A Top 100 Variety. Die lapping on the obverse shortens the leaf
below the R in LIBERTY. This boldly struck example displays
attractive, frosty mint luster and original patina, with warm
autumn-gold, lavender, and blue on each side. A loupe reveals only
minor abrasions, none bothersome for the grade.From The Puccini Collection of Toned Morgan Dollars.
