Mated Pair of 1944-P Jefferson Nickel Split Halves, AU55 ANACS. Consecutively numbered holders. This dramatic error occurred when the planchet split after striking. The obverse half shows a ghostly negative image of Jefferson, while the reverse half exhibits a positive image. Dusky patina overall with excellent views of the interiors.Auction Info
