Named after the Rohilla, a Pashtun diaspora community, Rohilkhand is a region in Uttar Pradesh. Rohilkhand was under the control of the Mughal Empire for nearly two centuries until the early 1700's when the Rohilla dynasty rose to power, founding the Kingdom of Rohilkhand.
