1829 N-3 Cent, Near-Mint
Ex: Dan Holmes, Medium Letters
1829 1C Medium Letters AU58 NGC. N-3, R.3. Our EAC Grade
XF40. Die cracks as on late examples of N-2, but the reverse
has medium letters in the peripheral legend. A deep mahogany-brown
cent with uncommonly smooth and spot-free surfaces. The portrait
and wreath high points show moderate rub. Tied for CC#2 in the
Grellman Census, his grade XF45.Ex: Superior (5/2004), lot 143; Chris McCawley; Dan Holmes (Ira & Larry Goldberg, 5/2010), lot 278.
