Popular 1861 No Motto Ten MS61
1861 $10 MS61 NGC. Liberty's central hair bun is rounded (five folds) instead of the bulging (six folds) bun seen in 1862 and later dates. 1861 was a transitional issue that uses both bun subtypes. This well struck example is moderately abraded and has ample shimmering luster.(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 2647, PCGS# 8633, Greysheet# 9382)
