1841 10C MS65 ★ NGC. CAC. Fortin-102. The 1 in the date is lightly repunched. This precisely struck and lustrous Gem is attractively toned in tawny-gold, sky-blue, and ruby tints. As of (11/08), the present piece is the single finest certified 1841 half dime to receive a Star designation from NGC, although a total of six pieces have received higher grades without a Star designation.(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 2384, PCGS# 4579, Greysheet# 4032)
