Exquisite 7 Ducat size Peter I gold Novodel
Peter I (the Great) Medallic gold Novodel in the weight of 7 Ducats, Laureate and armored bust of Peter I right with the inscription in Russian reading, Tsar Peter Alexeexich Ruler of All Russia/Russian Double-headed eagle with the inscription, In 1702nd Year, January, Tenth Day, F-81, Diakov 11.3 (R5), Reichel 917, 20.8 gm., lightly cleaned UNC, leaving minor hairlines. The strike is bold and the luster bright. There is no obvious wear for this exceptionally rare, large gold piece. Ex: Bowers and Merena's Guia Collection sale.
