Lightly Circulated 1812/1 Capped Bust Half, O-102, R.2.
1812/1 50C Small 8 AU50 NGC. O-102, R.2. A clear overdate variety. Surprisingly clean surfaces, the central striking details are quite well brought up, with some peripheral softness, most notably on the stars on the left side of the obverse. A surprising amount of luster remains on each side, for the grade. Pleasing olive-gray and gold color adorns the obverse and the reverse. Faint highpoint wear defines this piece as a lightly circulated example.(Registry values: N991)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 24EY, PCGS# 6101, Greysheet# 6231)
